Waiata

WAIATA

A collection of conference waiata have been selected to support speakers and a variety of conference activities. Take the opportunity to learn the waiata prior to Conference so that you can add your distinctive sound to the combined talents of our illustrious group.

You will not find "My Way" in this collection, but you will find a range of the familiar, and unfamiliar. Along with lyrics, there are video and sound files to help you learn, and some translations to provide an understanding of what you are singing about.

Leading up to Conference, the Conference Committee with be running waiata sessions for the Auckland region as Conference hosts. We encourage other regions to do the same for conference attendees, potential attendees, or even as a whakawhanaungatanga activity.

Venue Part 2

SKYCITY AUCKLAND CONVENTION CENTRE

The venue for the LIANZA 2014 Conference is the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre. This exceptionally well-connected venue lies within close vicinity to Auckland’s international airport and all major national and regional transport links. Additionally, there are a more than 2,000 undercover parking spaces on-site. SKYCITY's central location also means that there are a range of accommodation options available to suit every budget.

The contemporary architecture of SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre maximises spaciousness and flexibility, creating a unique space designed to accommodate any exhibition configuration. The pillarless New Zealand Room will host the exhibition and key features include single-level flat floor rooms, expansive stud heights and large service lift.
